B.S.N. Completion Program for Registered Nurses
The B.S.N. Completion Program provides the opportunity for registered nurses to continue the education they began in associate degree or diploma nursing programs.
Transfer credit for R.N. students
A maximum of sixty semester hours may be transferred for non-nursing courses. Non-nursing credits must include anatomy and physiology, organic chemistry, microbiology, nutrition, math, psychology, sociology or anthropology, growth and development, English composition, humanities, and electives.
Associate degree graduates
Thirty-four credits may be awarded for nursing coursework completed in an N.L.N.-accredited associate degree nursing program. Course descriptions are required for assessment of comparability of credit.
Diploma school graduates
Thirty-four credits will be awarded for successful completion of the following: ACT/PEP Nursing Challenge examinations: Fundamentals of Nursing, Adult Nursing, Maternal-Child Nursing, and Psychiatric-Mental Health nursing.
A total of 126 semester hours is required for graduation, of which a minimum of 32 semester hours must be completed at the University. Select this link for course requirements for the BSN Completion Program.
