Joanne R. Duffy DNSc, RN, CCRN will present "Summative Evaluation of Baccalaureate Students' Nurse Caring Behaviors: Preliminary Analysis" at the National League for Nursing Annual Education Summit in Orlando, Florida on October 2, 2004. The research was supported by a grant from the National League for Nursing and is ongoing.
Ellen Mahoney is presenting her paper Opioid Dependence: A New Paradigm of Treatment at the American Psychiatric Nurses Association annual conference in Phoenix, Arizona October 13-15.
Ellen Mahoney DNSc, APRN BC, CARN and Mary Ann Boyd PhD, DNS, APRN BC presented "Schizophrenia, Recovery and Compliance", an American Psychiatric Nurses Association sponsored program on November 6, 2004 in Rochester NY, on December 11, 2004 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and on March 5, 2005 in Nashville TN.
Heidi Maloni will be a panelist on the topic “Health Policy as it Relates to Newcomers and Immigrants”, at the Washington Metropolitan Public Health Association, PHNurses Special Interest Group, CUASON on October 1 2004.
Heidi Maloni presented her paper Effective Treatment for the Patient with Multiple Sclerosis through Care Coordination: A CE program for pharmacists, nurses & case managers at the Case Manager Annual Convention in Nashville, TN on June 17th 2004.
Heidi Maloni will be giving a presentations at the Multiple Sclerosis Professional Conference on November 12th in Denver, Colorado. The presentation is titled Neuropathic Pain in Multiple Sclerosis.
Patricia McMullen will be a presenter at Encore Symposiums Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist continuing education seminars on November 3-4th 2004 in Sedona Arizona. Dr. McMullen will deliver 3 presentations titled: Medication Errors in Anesthesia Practice, Navigating the National Practioner Bank Data and Deposition 101.
Patricia McMullen presented at the Contemporary Forums: Advances in Health Care for Women Over 40 National Conference in Washington, D.C in June 2004. Her presentation was titled “Medical-Legal Issues to Consider When Caring for Aging Women”.
On April 24th 2004, Patricia McMullen gave a presentation titled “Legal Issues in Nurse Practitioner Practice” at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference for Nurse Practitioners in College Park, MD.
Sylvia Stevens is presenting a course at the annual meeting of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, October 13-17, in Phoenix, Arizona. The topic for her course is “Integrating Play and Art Therapy Techniques in Family Therapy”.
