The DC HPLRP will be accepting applications starting Friday, June 1, 2012, for the final round of FY12 awards. Applications must be submitted and complete by Saturday, June 30, 2012. DOH is increasing the HPLRP loan repayment amounts for FY12 to reflect inflationary increases. The notice was published in the DC Register and is effective immediately. This means that the June applicants will be eligible to have up to: $136,440 of their total debt repaid (up from $120K) if they are MD/DO/DDS; and $75,042 of their total debt repaid (up from $66K) if they're any of the other eligible health professionals. This means that if June applicants have debts of equal to or more than those maximum amounts, they'll receive two-year contracts for either $60,033.60 (up from 52,800) or $33,018.48 (up from 29,000), respectively.
