Candidacy for the Degree

To be considered for admission to candidacy for the DNP degree, the student must satisfy these requirements:

  1. Complete program requirements with a grade point average of 3.0.
  2. Successfully write the comprehensive examination.
  3. This examination may be taken in the semester in which it is clear to the adviser and the student that the student will complete all coursework.
  4. Satisfactorily complete a professional portfolio (which was begun upon admission).
  5. Recommendation of the academic advisor.
