Admission to the PhD Program

To be considered for admission, the applicant must:

  • Have a BSN and MSN from a nationally accredited program or school of nursing
  • Be licensed to practice in a state or jurisdiction of the USA
  • Submit an official GRE score report from an examination taken within the past 5 years
  • Submit transcripts from undergraduate and graduate programs
  • Obtain three letters of recommendation
  • Submit a written statement of career goals and proposed area of research
  • Submit a copy of a recent scholarly paper, research report, or clinical nursing publication
  • Satisfactory scores on TOEFL exam (International Students only)
  • Have International transcripts (if any) evaluated by agency designated by the School of Nursing.
