International Students
TOEFL Requirement
International students educated in a basic program where English is not the language of instruction must achieve at least a 550 score on the TOEFL (paper test) or 213 (computer score) and be tested for English proficiency at the CUA campus. They may be required to take intensive English courses and/or other additional courses as recommended by the academic adviser or the dean. Transcripts for international students must be evaluated by an agency designated by the School of Nursing (see below).
Foreign Transcripts
Transcripts from outside of the United States must be evaluated prior to admission into the nursing program. You may request a credential Evaluation Service Application Packet from the World Education Services (WES) on-line from www.wes.org or telephone 212-966-6311.
When completing the application, you should request the Full Nursing Education Course-by-Course Report. If you hold an advanced degree (master's) from a school outside the United States, also request the Advanced Degree Academic Record Course-by-Course Report. If you are licensed/registered in a country other that the United States, request validation of your license/registration.
